We all know the (Food & Drug Administration) FDA wants to get more involved with the vaporizer/electronic cigarette business. They recently announced that they have issued additional warnings to “mislabeled” vapor product manufacturers.
According to an FDA spokesperson, the brands’ labeling and/or advertising cause them to resemble kid-friendly food products, such as cereal, soda and pancakes. One of the companies receiving a warning letter was also cited for illegally selling the product to a minor.
The brands included were “Unicorn Cakes” by Virtue Vape LLC of Miami, FL; Chill Purple Grape by Chill E-Liquid (an additional letter was sent to distributor Vallhund Vapes); and Frank ‘n Vape by 13th Floor Elevapors.
FDA Director Dr. Scott Gottlieb made it clear this is not over in a Twitter quote via @FDATobacco.
